The Bottom of the Barrel book, written by author, Freddie King III, brings to light the true-life choices our young people are facing today. It is a version of the last stop they have before entering jails and prisons.

A film of Bottom of the Barrel, would show how kids can slip through the educational system and fail to achieve the skills necessary to function and make constructive contributions in society.

Some other films addressed the problem in a limited way, this project would explore the problems of illiteracy and the consequences on the individual as well as society, as it's central theme. The film would show that the stereotypical minority image of the under privileged youth is incorrect; the problem transcends race and class.  A movie script has already been completed and we are looking for interested investors and sponsors to make this film happen for our kids.
